Stuck points are negative beliefs about yourself or the world, and are often shaped by a traumatic event. Certain trauma therapies, particularly Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), focuses on addressing these stuck points to help the individual move forward in their recovery.

Wise Mind is a concept from DBT that refers to the middle-ground between the reasonable mind (which is driven by logic) and the emotional mind (which is driven by feelings). There’s many different ways to practice Wise Mind, including observing and describing your thoughts and feelings without judgement and focusing on being in the present moment.
