• What is psychotherapy?

    Psychotherapy is a collaborative treatment approach that involves working with a trained mental health professional to explore and resolve emotional, behavioural, or psychological difficulties and improve one’s over all mental well being.

  • Why should I book a consultation?

    Before booking our initial session, we conduct a video or phone consultation (free of charge!) for us to discuss what you are looking for and why, what your expectations of therapy are, and to talk more about the services we offer.

  • Is psychotherapy covered by OHIP? What about my insurance?

    Psychotherapy is generally not covered by OHIP. Please check with your insurance company if they cover a registered psychotherapist.

  • Do you direct bill my insurance company?

    We do not offer direct billing. A receipt will be issued after each session which includes the provider’s information for you to use to get reimbursed by your insurance.

  • Do you offer in-person services?

    YES! We have limited availability for in-person sessions in Ajax, Ontario.

  • Is virtual psychotherapy as effective as in-person?

    YES! Studies show that online counselling can be just as effective as in-person. It is also about preference - some people prefer virtual sessions whereas others like in-person.

  • What types of therapy do you offer?

  • What if I don't know what therapy approach I need?

    No problem! You and Kristina will collaborate and discuss goals of therapy and which approach, or approaches, might be best fitting.

  • What ages do you work with?

    Kristina works with clients ages 5 and up.
